Everything wonderful... You have to try it ...the price nice and the room was so clean and new
The room was dirty and you could tell it hadn't been vacuumed or cleaned in some time. The was cobwebs on some of the furniture. Our mother in law stayed with us a night and we had our room changed. Mistake!!!! That room was worse than the first. Next time, I'll stay at homeless shelter before I stay there. And next time someone asks me where I stayed in San Antonio, the last place I will mention is your place.
Size of room for the money and pet friendly
The apartment-like suit.
Did not have a coffee pot when I arrived.
Staff very helpfull
Floors, walls, cielings pretty dirty
Easy access , near our relatives
I liked the condo feel of Hawthorn. I had a full sized kitchen, and everything I needed to cook with. Wi-fi was excellent, large flat screen TV with everything a dish could offer, over-sized bed with numerous feather pillows, sink and mirror area room adjacent to the tub and toilet, digital thermostat, iron and ironing board, reading chair with lighting, generous closet space with hangers. They have a nice swimming pool, offer free breakfast, and are right next to the I-10 exit which was perfect for me.
Can't think of anything.
The rooms are clean and well designed, the staff is always professional and courteous, breakfast is delicuos and the grounds are immaculate! This has become my favorite San Antonio home away from home.
The morning desk clerk was always friendly and Accommodating. Grounds were maintained well, including the pool. Tons of restaurants nearby... Always had good choices for meals. Room was a ground floor unit with a nice modern kitchenette. Bed was clean and very comfortable. Breakfast was good with several choices.
Room was not fresh-smelling as I would like... Although I attribute that to the direct-access of each unit to the outside. Still, I think a few things could have been done to improve "freshness" upon arrival.
I really liked how our room was very spacious. It was my 2 small children my father and my husband and I who all went, and the owners gave us a free upgrade to the penthouse suite. Which I did not know until I had checked out. Our room had a second floor, and 2 baths, 2 beds one on each floor and the sofa turned into a bed so that was great as well. The kitchenette was a big plus also it saved me money from having to eat out all week! I would definately stay here again.
The room had a few minor things wrong with it like there was a door knob missing off of the closet downstairs, and the back of the toilet needed another paint job, but it wasn't anything too major. Oh and one day we got back to the hotel around 4 or 5 and the maid was just cleaning our room, but it was on 4th of July so I'm not sure if this had something to do with that or not.
Water pressure in shower was excellent
Property is run down, outdated, in need of a major facelift. Although our room was fairly clean, the windows were so dirty we could barely see outside. Bed was fairly comfortable but all pillows were extremely uncomfortable. Property recently became a Wyndham, and we were shocked. Wyndham is known for quality and this property did not live up to the reputation. We travel to San Antonio often and will never stay here again. In fact, we will probably go back to Marriott properties in the future!
Clean rooms, great location, quiet secure site, accmodating staff. Nice value. Will stay here again, and recommend it.
The hotel needs renovations, it feels like a cheap motel with stained furniture and obsolete decor... Upholstery on the furniture was in very bad shape. Had stains and there was a little flying bugs in the kitchen area. I had to buy a can of Raid bug spray to treat the problem....
Location was great
The staff was very helpful in finding local restaurants and activities. The breakfast selection was good. The room was a good size for the price. We didn't use the kitchen to prepare food, but could have as it was well equipped. It was close to the freeway, so it was easy to get into San Antonio. I would recommend this hotel and would stay there again. The outside reminded us of townhouses rather than a hotel. We felt safe and relaxed with all the amenities.
The phone receptionist was difficult to understand and the directions to the hotel were not the easiest way to get there. Our door was difficult to open as it needed to be refitted to the opening. We did not inform the staff, however.
Not much. Room looked quite nice until you detect the flaws.
Security bar on door half missing Several bulbs out so lighting poor tv didn't work There were 2 other flaws that were reported to the front desk at checkout but which I don't remember now. I had called the front desk the prior evening but we were already in bed so didn't want any help. Front desk person was sympathetic but no manager around so it was just our tough luck.
